La Patria School Child Sponsorship

Your support can change  generations.

Since 2003, Cornerstone has partnered with La Patria School in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to support families and transform  lives through education and faith development. Each year, we have the privilege of helping students receive a Christian education through La Patria School. Currently 140 students attend LaPatria with 70 receive support through our sponsorship program.   Many of the students that attend the school would not be able to afford the education without the scholarships that the Cornerstone community provides each school year.  Many more families long to send their children to LaPatria, but with limited sponsorship, current assistance is not available.

In 2019, La Patria School witnessed their first enrollments of self-sustained, second generation students in the program! As much as we celebrate the awesome impact of empowered families, there is still much work to do.

Kimberly Cronen is our Honduras Partnership Committee Team Leader. Contact her directly at cornerstone.honduras@gmail.com or request more information about how you can connect with this awesome opportunity by clicking the button below.

How You Can Help...

Sponsor a Student: There are 3 levels of sponsorship:
  • Level 1 is $600 which covers roughly the full cost of tuition for one student
  • Level 2 is $400 which covers roughly 8 months of tuition for one student
  • Level 3 is $200 which covers roughly 4 months of tuition for one student

Technology Donations: Donating your previously used technology or donating new technology helps students and teachers tremendously, especially in this COVID-19 season. All devices donated must be WIFI enabled devices. The following devices are needed:
  • Laptops with working chargers and internet capabilities
  • Smart phones with working chargers and intact screens
  • Tablets with working chargers and intact screens
Bless a Teacher: The teachers that work at La Patria choose to be there because of the Biblically-based education it provides. In doing so, they are making a sacrifice in the salary that they are receiving and the resources they are able to have for their classrooms. Your gift helps supply classrooms with needed materials that are often beyond the financial abilities of the school. Donations are collected throughout the school year and dispersed evenly across the staff in June.
